Shades of Coffee is a web based retail company selling niche products and solutions to home baristas and coffee enthusiasts globally.  It's a small family business, based in Swindon, Wiltshire - in the United Kingdom.   "Mr Shades of Coffee" - Adrian, is a huge, long term coffee enthusiast and 'techno-geek' and is responsible for technical expertise and product development.  However, day to day operations and web sales are run by "Mrs Shades of Coffee" - Steph, who drinks the odd (decaf!) cappuccino and uses her passion for organisation and admin to keep things running smoothly. 

We love coffee as much as you certainly do.  Over many years we've been drinking coffee, made with various different methods, and paying particular attention to espresso machines and related products.

As with many passions, with coffee and espresso you are always striving to "do it better" or "make it better" - and we've been doing just that personally for many years, before deciding in 2020 to create the Shades of Coffee company, and share some of our innovations and accessories with the world from this website.

With a deep desire to give home baristas and home coffee makers access to "better" coffee, to more easily modify and improve their espresso machines, and generally to do as much as we can to help you to gain more benefit from your espresso machine ownership experience - we've created a number of modification kits, that are provided with full installation/use instructions and our full support to help you in your desire to improve your espresso machine and hence to make better coffee.

We've always had a strong focus on the Gaggia Classic espresso machine - and have a wealth of experience gained over more than 20years of ownership, use, modification and repair - so even if you're not yet interested in one of our kits, if you'd like help or assistance with a Gaggia Classic machine then we're always happy to chat - so try and reach us on our online chat and we'll do our best to help.

So - if you have a Gaggia Classic espresso machine, and want to "make it better" then try talking to us... We'll give good honest advice and help you to do so.  That may mean spending a small amount of money on products available on here or elsewhere, or it may just mean you need to adjust or do something differently with your machine.  Whatever it is, we'll enjoy helping you almost as much as we all enjoy drinking coffee!
