Is it difficult to see where the water level is in your Classic water tank? Do you run out of water, or forget to refill it? Do you want to illuminate your Classic tank and drip tray with a particular colour of light to match or complement your decor?

Our Classic water tank LED light kit makes your machine look great, and makes it hugely easier to see the water level in the tank.

The LED tank lighting kit is ready assembled, and comes with full installation instructions, takes just a few minutes to install - and is suitable for all mains voltages (120 / 220-240v AC)

You can choose from a number of colours of LED light:

  • White
  • Red
  • Pink
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Ice Blue
  • Green

Once installed, the water tank LED kit will illuminate as soon as you turn the front power-switch of your Classic on.

As you can see from the product gallery, and unlike many other similar kits, our LED strips are almost the full width of the machine case (around 17cm) and consist of more that 25 individual and bright LED lights.  Our image gallery shows the pink lights installed.

Classic Evo owners:  Please check to see if you have Monobloc connectors (see here); and select the Monobloc version if you do have these.

RI9403 owners: Unfortunately, as with many of our other kits, this is not suitable for the Classic V2 / 2015 / RI9403 unless you are prepared to change one of the mains wiring connectors to suit your machines front switches (or you already have a PID fitted and can take power from this instead)

This kit contains:

  • LED 12V micro-transformer for 110-240V AC
  • Waterproof 17cm LED light strip 
  • Double sided adhesive tape
  • Alcohol cleaning wipe
  • All wires and connectors are pre-installed
  • Instructions for simple installation within any Classic

I had a situation during install for my Evo 2023 whereby I was getting constant illumination from the LED, irrespective of whether the power rocker switch was on or not (only connected to the power lead). Shifting to the lower wire in the Evo power monoblock (as suggested as an alternative in the instructions) resulted in the LED only illuminating when the power rocker switch was being depressed. After speaking with Shades of Coffee, the workaround that fixed the issue was using the the top left monoblock connector (orange wire) to piggyback to the LED cable and then switch the piggyback on the rear power connector (for me that was changing from the brown to the blue wire). This fixed the problem.
