- TopBox thermostatic fan kit
We’re sorry we’re out of stock, but we can let you know as soon as this product becomes available again - this will usually be at the weekend
Enter your details below and we’ll email you once this item is back in stock.
This kit is a small optional extra for the TopBox - and is especially useful for TopBox users in warm environments, or for use with Classics that are left powered on for extended periods of time - as it's possible for heat to soak into the TopBox and PID, and cause the PID temperature to fluctuate due to over-heating.
The kit is relatively simple to fit - wiring into the power already present within the TopBox - so the entire kit is wired and installed within the TopBox and can usually be achieved without dismantling the PID from the TopBox, etc.
The fan is thermostatically controlled - and will only operate when/if the PID controller gets hot; and the fan speed can be adjusted with an external control knob if required (it's almost silent when running at full speed, but totally silent when the speed is lowered slightly).
This product contains:
- cooling fan with mounting screws
- thermostatically controlled fan power supply
- fan speed control knob
A link to download the installation guide is included with the kit.

This is cool, Pun intended. Not quite as easy as it looks. Flip back the hood, remove the foam, and access your PId from below. Have some extra connectors on hand if you used them as you'll have to possibly splice in some small wires. Great idea, most computers have something similar so why not a PId?
