This is the black plastic protection disc for our Classic steam valve. Note that this part is NOT relevant to a standard Gaggia steam valve - only the Shades of Coffee steam valve.
It fits onto the Shades of Coffee steam valve, over the end nut, in much the same way as the standard black plastic protection disc fits onto the standard Gaggia steam valve and clips on and releases quite easily.
The steam valve shown within the product image gallery is obviously only included for information and context - this product is ONLY the black plastic protection disc.
If you prefer and have access to a 3D printer and suitable filament/material then you can download a 3D printable version of our original (thicker, interference fit v1 design) from here or this (thinner, clip on version v2) from here, if you want to fit one - though be aware that the steam valve can reach a surface temperature of 150C+ (so PLA and PETG will melt). Ours are made from PA12 nylon.
