E&B Lab (part of IMS) has launched the ALL IN ONE filter basket for espresso machine portafilters.

This new basket is designed for making espresso extractions, filter-style coffee, tea or cascara brews on any flow or pressure-controllable espresso machine with a 58-millimeter group (such as a lightly modified Gaggia Classic).

It's available in three basket heights of 22mm, 25mm and 28mm to accommodate different doses for different drink styles, the ridgeless stainless steel basket features a fine mesh interior screen supported by a thicker exterior screen at its base.

A photo-etched interior membrane that filters down to 150 microns is welded into the base of the basket, while a thicker exterior screen contains 257 larger holes and maintains rigidity without encumbering flow.

The ALL IN ONE filter can also be used for CASCARA or TEA infusion.

Use 4 gr of cascara or 3 gr of leaf tea in the 25mm filter to obtain around 200 ml of drink.

All tests about the capacity of the filters were made by IMS using:

• Dark roasted coffee: 80% Arabica 20% Robusta blend
• Medium roasted coffee: 100% Arabica Brasile
• Light roasted coffee: Ethiopia single origin

Your question:

Do all these baskets fit in the regular Gaggia classic pro portafilter?

22mm and 25mm will fit ok, 28mm will almost certainly need a bottomless portafilter
