Having good steam power / pressure with a Classic needs only two things - a boiler with enough water in it, and a high enough boiler temperature to generate steam.
The Shades Supersteam kit addresses both of these areas, to give you a Classic that will never run out of steam power...
Our PID kit customers will know that the boiler steam temperature can be adjusted by using the PID functionality - but if you have a standard machine or don't have a PID then you can select our Supersteam+ kit and we'll include a new steam thermostat that provides greater steam temperature as well.
Supersteam is a small device that automatically and continually adds small amounts of water (and additional pump pressure) to the boiler whilst the machine is in steam mode. This ensures that you never empty the boiler of water (and hence steam) whilst the Classic is in steam mode.
The device comes pre-wired and pre-configured and ready to install - and just requires a few connections to the front switch connections of a Classic Pro (Classic 2019) or Classic Evo (Classic 2023).
If you have a Classic Evo / Classic 2023 with monobloc switch connectors (see here) then please make sure you select the Monobloc option below, as you will require additional parts in order to connect to these switches. If your Classic Evo DOESN'T have Monobloc connectors, just select the version for Classic 2019 / Pro (individual switch connectors).
IMPORTANT: If you have a PID that controls steam then this MUST be operated using the standard steam button on the front of the machine in order to be able to use SuperSteam, and not by having to engage any separate steam mode via the PID controller.
if you have an “Eco Timer Disable” wire installed on a Classic 2019 or Classic Evo 2023 then you’ll need to remove this and put the wires back to standard in order for SuperSteam to work properly. We’d recommend our full Powerswitch mod for these machines if you wish to use SuperSteam and disable the 20 minute timer properly.
NOTE: This product is suitable for the Classic Pro (Classic 2019) or Classic Evo (Classic 2023). If you have an original Classic then please see the similar version for this model here.

1 x 155C steam thermostat (optional)
3 x Evo Monobloc adaptor wires (optional)
